For the design and creation of the Association’s web site.
The web site will contain information regarding the life and music of D. Samiou and her contributions to preserving and promoting Greek folkloric music and song. The site will also contain the Association’s digitized audiovisual music archive. Special emphasis will be placed on the English edition of the site in order to provide information accessible to non-Greek-speaking visitors.
Domna Samiou Cultural Association of Folkloric Music is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1981 by the renowned Greek folklore singer and composer Domna Samiou. The Association’s mission is to preserve and promote aspects of Greek folklore musical tradition for future generations. It operates primarely with volunteers who conduct research and record folkloric material throughout Greece. These recordings are published in CD and DVD formats.
