Exhibition

For organizing a children’s art exhibition with the theme “Children’s Human Rights” and for implementation of related educational programs. The exhibition will include works of art created by children from primary education schools from Attica and will be enriched with items from the Museum’s collection. The complementary educational programs will be divided into categories according to age, with a separate category for children with special needs.

The Museum of Greek Children’s Art has a multifaceted mission concerned with children’s art.  It presents, preserves and promotes children’s art, develops children’s aesthetics and children’s creativity, cultivates children’s contact with all forms of art, conducts an annual nationwide children’s art contest, hosts temporary exhibitions of children’s art, and exchanges exhibitions with other museums, art workshops and relevant institutions in Greece and abroad. The Museum places a priority on its educational role.  It organizes various educational programs for pre-school and primary school pupils, including programs for children with special needs, children’s activity workshops and seminars, and workshops for teachers.  The Museum also produces kits that help educators teach art.
